Pet Friendly Senior Residences Center<\/h2>\n
Benton House communities are pet friendly!<\/p>\n
In fact, several of our communities already have house dogs, and we are planning more puppies in the future. We call it our Benton Doodle program.<\/p>\n
Benton House is a recipient of a national Innovation Award for a pilot program that used specially trained dogs to detect COVID. Of course, these dogs have transitioned to traditional house dogs as testing became widely available.<\/p>\n
We welcome and encourage residents to have pets too!<\/p>\n
There are a few requirements like a one-time fee, as we replace carpets after an apartment transfer. Residents must be able to care for their pet. There are some size restrictions. And the pet must be community living appropriate and people friendly.<\/p>\n
That said, our family already has a variety of cats, dogs, fish, and birds. The love and therapy they provide is a blessing, and most do very well within our communities.<\/p>\n
