The Garden House of Anderson

The Garden House was a Godsend for our family. After a devastating battle lasting several weeks of hospitalization and Rehab, our mother was being kicked out of Rehab and sent back home even though she could no longer take care of herself without full time assistance. With this gut retching news, my sister and I quickly discovered how difficult it is to find and hire sitters/caregivers. With only a day before moms release a prayer was answered. My wife’s dear friend heard of or dire situation. She recommended the Garden House. Her husband’s parents had lived at the Garden House for several years during their final years of life. She went on to say how much his parents LOVED the Garden House. Based on her recommendations we checked it out. April Raines was so kind and caring. She showed us the facility and explained their levels of care. Best of all she had one room available. We signed up and 11months later we now know that decision was life changing for our mother and for us. The wonderful care, the staffs love, the staffs support, the community environment, the activities, her safety, have all been paramount in improving our Mother’s Quality of Life and our Families Quality of Life. We highly recommend the Garden House!
It is worth saying again…The Garden House was a God send for our family!

I love The Garden House! A little over eight years ago, I unexpectedly lost my job where I had been employed for over 30 years. At the time, I didn’t understand or know why this had happened to me, but God did! After this unexpectant event, I had the opportunity to apply and receive a job here at The Garden House where it quickly became a job that I loved. I have met so many wonderful residents and families and I have loved serving them in their new home. The Garden House feels like home to me as well and the staff feels like family.
God continued to show his plan for my job change after my mother had some health issues and could not live alone anymore. She has been a resident at The Garden House for over two years and has thrived. She is never alone, she is well taken care of, enjoys all the activities with a wonderful activity director, and loves all the new friends she has made. The PT, OT and Speech Therapy she received helped her get to a place where she had enough independence to enjoy her life again. Sure, she would rather still be at her own home if that was possible….but The Garden House with its wonderful staff and home-like atmosphere has given her a new home where she is made to feel safe and loved.
We appreciate all that The Garden House has done for both us.

We recently had an unexpected month long vacation at the Garden House. ALL of the staff are unbelievably kind and helpful. Even the PT people. The food certainly had no complaints by us. We have nothing but positive and happy things to say. Was certainly worth the money. And we met some of the nicest residents. April you did a fantastic job for us.
